Bridging the Gap

Welcome

Bridging the Gap

There are two sides to the technology gap, and then a lot who have fallen in between. On one side there is a generation that did not grow up in the computer era, but who has seen a rapid change in technology from the first radio to podcasts. Most of these people have no interest in computers or they are intimidated to learn. On the other side of the gap people know what computers are all about and how great they can be, no matter the age. Social media, online marketing, twitter, blogging, online banking, YouTube, online newspapers and books, it is all so common today. So, ladies and gentlemen, this is the gap we are talking about. which side are you on?

What this project is about ...

This project was put into effect by a group of five students who have spent time looking in-depth into the way different generations view and use technology today. Our overall goal has been to share stories of people and their interactions with technology, plus offer opportunities to inform senior citizens about the wonderful digital world.
